Do your trailers contain PFAS?
Like many companies we have been working diligently to remove PFAS from our products. This process has occurred over the last year and we are actively selling and receiving new product that does not contain materials with added PFAS. While we can’t speak to all inventory within the supply chain, we are in compliance with all state and local regulations related to PFAS. Our new product uses a C0 polyurethane coating for water resistance.
How do I remove my wheel sprockets?
To do this, unscrew the axle assembly from the wheel using a 19mm socket wrench. You will need to secure the other side of the axle assembly using an 11mm or 7/16in wrench to do this (pop off the yellow dust cap). Once the axle is removed, the original sprocket will "pop" out and you can install the replacement.
Can I hang my trailer from the wall for storage?
We do not recommend hanging the trailer on the wall by the frame or other parts. Instead, we would recommend using the Trailer Storage Bag if you would like to hang the trailer and get it up off the floor.
Is there a tubeless tire option?
As of right now, there isn’t a tubeless tire option available for our trailers. We do offer spare tubes, and some customers have found success using tire liners for added protection against punctures.
Will the Premium Seat Pad fit my trailer?
Yes! The Premium Seat Pad is compatible with all Burley trailers that use a five-point harness, which is standard on all newer models.
Will my trailer fit in the Trailer Storage Bag?
Yes! All of our trailers will fit inside the Trailer Storage Bag. Some of the larger models—like the Bark Ranger XL and the Cub X—will be a bit more snug, but they do fit.
My pet chewed/scratched a hole in my pet trailer, what can I do?
We do offer replacement fabric options for our pet trailers, including full body replacement fabrics. For the Bark Ranger and Bark Ranger XL, we also offer the front window panels as individual replacement parts.
I do not see the replacement part I need listed on the replacement parts page?
We do our best to stock replacement parts for approximately 5–7 years before they are phased out as inventory runs out. Unfortunately, if you’re not seeing the part listed, it likely means we no longer have the part available for your trailer. Due to changes in design and dimensions over the years, parts are generally not cross-compatible between models.
If you think it is something we should have, please email us at Burley@burley.com.
Do you have a trailer I can tow a kayak or paddleboard?
At this time, we do not offer a trailer designed to tow larger items such as kayaks or paddleboards. Our trailers are built specifically for cargo, pets, or children, and aren’t engineered to safely support or secure items of that size and shape.
Can I use a child trailer to carry my pets?
Yes, many customers do use their child trailers to carry pets or as cargo trailers once their children have outgrown them.
That said, our pet trailers are specifically designed with animals in mind. They feature a more appropriate seating/laying position for pets and include a rigid floor for better support and comfort. Child trailers, on the other hand, have a fabric floor and seating system designed for passengers.
If you plan to regularly transport a pet, we generally recommend one of our pet-specific trailers for the best experience and safety. Please let us know if you’d like help choosing the right option!
